People in small island communities know the sea, its whimsical abyss and darkness, the bottomless fearless and ice-cold. They also know the magnificent, the beautiful cascading, lively and generous. The ocean is also in constant motion, the very possibility, the freedom that connects us with the rest of the world.

On The Edge 2016

The project title "On The Edge" refers to the place Veiholmen and its location on the map, - on the outer edge toward the ocean. Eggs, tamp and shallow are terms that describe the lush and resource-rich conditions in the seabed where the fish come to graze through the different seasons and is the very foundation of human existence here by the sea. Eggs, tamp and shallow is also an expression of the difficult conditions that can lead to losses and catastrophes.
